Dell support assist takes log to download files






















 · There is a June BIOS update for my XPS I have tried multiple times to install it with Dell Update. The installation was never successful. I went to Support Assist and tried it. I had those flashing dots saying "Installing" for 5 hours. They finally stopped and I got a message that drivers had been installed and to re-boot my computer.  · Go to Support Assist System Resolution or SupportAssist depending on your BIOS version. Go to SupportAssist OS Recovery. Click on the checkbox to enable SupportAssist OS Recovery or SupportAssist depending on your BIOS version. Stop using Support assist or Alienware assist to install the update. Go to bltadwin.ru and use your service tag to download and apply the update manually. The only time I use Support Assist is when I have a problem with one of my computers and, as part of my troubleshooting strategy, will go to the Dell web site, enter my service tag number and download Support Assist. I only use the Update function to make sure I'm up to date with drivers and UEFI. When done, I just uninstall Support Assist. the same update again an hour later (or immediately if I force update check). I have this problem the way through until it's fixed once and for all. If a Dell assistant reads this, please help us all on a XPS 13 This is a recurring problem happening to a lot of people for various updates.
